Priory Press Tent - events

Thursday, 24 May 2012

Fiona Angwin will be signing copies of her new book Soul-Lights at Croxteth Hall Well Mad Sunday was a real test for the tent as it had wind, rain and the occasional smog caused by someone blowing up their bike engine! But we survived although at one point I seriously thought the tent would make it's own way back to Ballasalla at 500ft! On Tuesday we returned to find that the Suma wrestlers were directly opposite so Steve and I were very well entertained throughout the day. Anyway we sold books and made £38 for the Manx Wildlife trust, met lots of very interesting people from all over the world ... Canada, Germany, Australia and North Yorks! Got a lot of feedback and yes we will be putting all books onto Kindle as soon as the legal dept has sorted out the new e-contracts and we make sense of the programmes...I'm a born again ludite remember! We then took the tent to Douglas for the RNLI Fun Day and we had a great time meeting people, even the lady Mayoress has a copy or two of our books and one well dressed couple bought 5 books including the complete collection of our Tails for All Seasons. We also raised money for the local lifeboat.

The other thing that happened is that both Steve and I were so galvanised by you all that writing is now under way again for the next Tavistock Allan and Duncan Connors.

We will  be at the Manx Litfest Saturday 29th September with all of our books and some writers in the Villa Marina Gardens near the Gaeity Theatre entrance.

Again all books will be £5 with a £1 going to charity. Oh and there are a few t-shirts left...so if you buy 3 books you may get one in your size...we are about to order more.

See you there,

Linda Mann
