Fiona Harris is pleasantly suprised to become the sole beneficiary of her late Uncle's estate right up to the point when her newly acquired inheritance burns down in front of her very eyes and she learns from the local constabulary that her Uncle Quentin was murdered and she could be next.

The only clues she has are the names 'Anderson and Fiske' and the knowledge that it had something to do with her Uncle's seedy detective agency and a book about latter day Resurrection Men.

Can she solve Uncle Quentin's last case or will she too swim with the fishes?

Mr Boots is based around a real ghost, who allegedly lives under the South Bridge in Edinburgh, everything else is just my account of what might have happened after a well known reality television programme was filmed there. - Linda Mann.

Set between Oban and Edinburgh Mr Boots features such over the top characters as:-

Mr Burke and Mr Hare – purveyors of bespoke assassinations at reasonable rates.
Neville Foolscap – A failed writer and serial Suicider (serial because he’s just not very good at it).
A Doctor who doesn’t like patients and a Bank Manager who doesn’t like anyone.
Plus a host of characters both dead and alive.

Linda Mann worked in the offshore finance sector for ten years until settling on the Isle of Man where she is now married with three children. She was a member of the Isle of Man Arts council and Chairman of the Film and Literature panel for four years but she now concentrates on writing, including skits for the satirical news programme ‘The Headlines Again’ on Manx Radio. She has written four supernatural crime novels – Mist, The Tidemaster, The Corsican Trap and Mr Boots – available or forthcoming from Priory Press.
